[Construction of Ship "ATA-232"]

Photograph of a ship during the early stages of construction. The ship is surrounded by scaffolding and there are two workers present in the photograph. Handwritten on the back of the photograph is, "This may have been LSC Hull No. 379, contracted for by U.S. Navy but cancelled after end of W.W. II. It is an interesting picture of shipbuilding technique in the 1940's.
